Want to Learn to Sail?

If you’ve ever looked at the river and wished it was you on the water the RCYC can make that happen.

How do I learn to sail? The RCYC is an RYA accredited training centre, and Raymond Chu is the Chief Instructor. No experience is necessary, and the Club will provide the boat and safety equipment.

To try it out, you can book a taster session, and then there are RYA courses or sailing tuition tailored to your needs. The choice is yours.

What do we offer?

Private tuition, group tuition and RYA accredited courses in powerboats, dinghies and keelboats.

How it works

Call, email or drop in, to see our lovely team in the office, who will, dependant on your experience, guide you on what courses may best suit your requirements.

You could be an absolute beginner who has never been on the water, or a hardy stalwart but whom has only ever stepped foot on a cruiser and now wants to get in to dinghy sailing. We can cover it all.
